Who are we?

Liquitax® is a specialist tax consultancy. Our specialism is where tax and insolvency meet. We are often called upon to give a second opinion where a company's existing accountant has suggested liquidation or administration to solve a tax debt, where HMRC have issued a winding up petition or where there is a significant HMRC debt and they are threatening punitive enforcement action.

As an insolvency specialist forensic accountancy practice, we can negotiate debt resolution programmes with HMRC without the need for insolvency.

What do we do?

Led by a Forensic Accountant, we know HMRC's rules better than most of their officers.

Our expertise lies in analysing your tax affairs and using our specialist insolvency knowledge together with an in-depth understanding of HMRC's rules to, firstly, ensure you have not overpaid tax either previously or within the amount now demanded by HMRC.

We then work thoughtfully to resolve the issues facing the business and can provide a resolution that does not involve insolvency and all the costs that are associated with formal insolvency. Our service also targets just HMRC debt which, often, is the 'only' problem debt. We act for individuals, Sole Traders, Limited Companies and LLP's. 

Regrettably, when confronted with HMRC debt problems most advisors, accountants and other professionals simply reach for the 'nuclear' option of administration or liquidation which, in the medium term, costs far more than necessary. In more than 60% of the cases we review, we are able to put forward a cheaper, cleaner and less disruptive solution protecting your financial future.
